What is the advantage of speed dating over going out on "real" dates?
Speed dating is a fast, safe way to quickly create a pool of eligible, mutually interested people to potentially date. By spending an evening getting to know singles in your area, you can quickly rule out singles where there's simply no spark. Rather than spending weeks suffering through miserable dates with people that aren't right for you, you can fine-tune your search in just one evening. From there, your "real" dates are more likely to be engaging, fun dates due to the initial screening that speed dating facilitates.
How long does a speed dating party last?
Expect to spend about an hour and a half at our speed dating parties. This allows sufficient time for breaking the ice and spending one-on-one time with each participant.
How much time will have with each person?
We've found that six minutes is the magic number. This allows both participants sufficient time to ask and answer questions and record their first impressions. You'll have a good sense of whether or not that person shares common interests and values with you.
What if I don't like some of the singles?
That's okay. In fact, that's exactly what speed dating is all about. Simply make a discreet note on your match card indicating that you're not interested and that's it. There's no awkward rejections with this unique dating system.
What if I'm attracted to some of the singles?
You're halfway there! Again, use your match card to discreetly indicate interest. Later, your match card will be entered into a computer and analyzed against the match cards of other participants. Where interest is mutual, you will be notified.
What if none of the other singles interest me?
Just imagine how much time you saved by avoiding going out on traditional dates with all those singles. Since none interested you during your speed dating session, we encourage you to sign up for another session. In fact, we'll even pick up the tab for your next session as part of our "match guarantee."
What happens if someone I'm interested in doesn't select me as a possible match?
At first, you may feel disappointed. However, mutual interest is absolutely vital to the success of speed dating. You want to find potential dates that like you as much as you like them, right? You also don't want to waste time trying to convince others that you're right for them or entertaining people that you're simply not interested in. Try not to dwell on mismatches and focus on mutual matches.
Will people I'm not interested in be able to contact me?
No. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our speed daters. You will specify an email address that you allow us to reveal to legitimate matches. We will only reveal this email address to those who you have expressed interest in who have also expressed interest in you. We will never reveal private contact information such as phone numbers or addresses.
What if there's no contact information for a match?
Occasionally, speed daters opt not to provide us with an email address to share with their matches. When this happens, and if you are a legitimate match, contact us and let us know. With your permission, we will provide your match with your contact details.
Why is it necessary to pre-register and pre-pay for a speed dating event?
While it would be nice to just show up, the success of our speed dating events relies on having a specific number of male and female participants. We have found that requiring pre-payment is the most effective way to ensure that our speed dating events are filled and that the ratio of men and women is 50/50.
